Job Summary
Our rotational program is designed for candidates who are interested in pursuing a leadership career in the field of operations and supply chain management. Our 14 week program will teach you about each area of our supply chain as well as obtain a functional and practical knowledge of The Webstaurantstore’s goals and initiatives. During the program you will have the opportunity to experience each segment in our day-to-day operations from inbound to outbound. Some of these areas may include but are not limited to Receiving, Picking, Packing, Consolidating, Shipping, Inventory Control, and Returns. In each area of training you will be challenged to develop new ideas and tools to not only support the growth of our business but also ensure that the best service is being delivered to our customers. The goal of this position is to prepare you for a leadership role in our Dayton, Nevada warehouse location.
Upon successful completion of the program you will have the opportunity for a possible leadership position with The Webstaurantstore’s leadership team. In this leadership role you will be held accountable for the day to day decisions regarding the input, movement, process, and output of operations to ensure increased quality, inventory accuracy and service. This position is responsible for providing clear and frequent communication to all teams on the distribution center's productivity, company policies and procedures. An essential function of the leadership is to motivate employees to keep pace with our explosive growth while maintaining challenging deadlines.
Responsibilities
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicles. Occasional activities may involve exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity, and exposure to dust, fumes and gases. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The passage of employees through the work area is average and normal.

- Develop practical solutions to problems without sacrificing quality
- Meet department’s daily, weekly and monthly goals of the distribution center
- Achieve high performance standards while coaching and training employees on best practices of our business
- Analyze opportunities for growth, cutting costs, reducing damages and improving efficiencies

Physical Requirements
- Work is performed while standing and/or walking, up to and including 12 hours/day.
- Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing.
- Requires the regular use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.
- Requires regular bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching.
- Requires the ability to regularly lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights, up to 75lbs.
- 1-2 years of leadership experience working with a team of more than 15 employees preferred
- Experience working in a distribution environment preferred, but not required.
- Must be 18 or older
- High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred

- Have initiative to work with minimal instruction and direction
- Self-starter. Motivated and determined to achieve specific goals
- Proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work in a fast–paced and deadline driven environment
- Exhibit analytical thinking and problem solving
- Ability to quickly adapt as business needs change; ability to address difficult situations with diplomacy and emotional intelligence.
- Strong written and oral communication skills; ability to explain technical and complex concepts in a simple and concise way to ensure ease of understanding.
- Passion for supply chain management and constant process improvement
- Demonstrate maturity, responsibility, and leadership ability
- Work a full shift which could range from 8-10 hours.
- Follow all codes of conduct, safety parameters, productivity, and quality standards, as well as attendance policies.
- Business proficiency in the ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
