Description
WFFCU is currently seeking a Training Specialist for the OPS Center. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting training covering specific areas such as Teller, Head Teller, Universal Teller, MSR/LO and MLO for employees as well as covering areas such as product knowledge, member service, as well as customized training for credit union employees. Responsible for providing effective programs to improve the productivity of credit union employees. Actively search, creatively design and implement effective methods to provide valuable education.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- Serve as a primary training instructor for Teller/Head Teller/Universal Teller/MSR/LO and MLO training in orientation and branch setting.
- Facilitate other training programs, as needed, including policies, procedures, compliance, operations, leadership and service.
- Provide friendly, professional and accurate service and support to all associates.
- Exemplify the desired culture of the credit union.
- Develop effective training curriculum utilizing a variety of resources in such a way to stimulate and motivate attendees seeking out and implementing new training delivery methods. (e.g. online learning)
- Assist in creating and maintaining a comprehensive, up-to-date training program for new and existing branch employees on all levels, including face-to-face and online training options.
- Conduct follow-up surveys of completed training to evaluate and measure results and relay feedback to manager, making recommendations to resolve them..
- Develop trainer development programs, coach trainees and recommend effective growth and development opportunities.
- Help write training manuals by obtaining input of experienced department staff.
- Work effectively as a team member with other members of management and the human resources staff.
- Work effectively with managers to identify and coordinate specific training on a one on one basis for certain staff members.
- Understand business goals and support the credit union in meeting these goals.
- Must be able to travel to all branch locations for training as needed.
- Other related tasks/duties as needed.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Interpersonal skills with a significant level of trust and diplomacy, in addition to normal courtesy and tact.
- Excellent oral, written and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently, work under pressure, and multi-task effectively.
- Ability to present information and respond to questions from multi-levels of employees.
- Knowledge of credit union terminology and acronyms commonly used in the day-to-day communication of staff and others in the credit union industry.
- Ability to coach and mentor employees at all levels.
- Proficient in MS Office (Power-point, word, Excel and Outlook).
Education/Training Experience
Bachelor’s degree (BA or BS) from two-year college or university; three to five years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
