DESCRIPTION OF WORK: General Statement of Duties: The videographer produces, shoots and edits video content for Marketing & Creative Services as wellas other departments across the University. The videographer is responsible for producing engagingvideos, as aligned with our marketing plans.Supervision Received: RegularSupervision Exercised: None. Essential Duties and Responsibilities*
Primarily shoots and edits video marketing content for website, social media and other digitalplatforms. Engages an audience through storytelling, using content to drive profitable behaviors.The videographer ensures the University's brand and style guidelines are followed.
Responsible for pre- and post-production activities, which may include planning, scripting anddistributing videos across channels. Must be able to deliver projects under tight deadlines, whenrequired.
Makes technical decisions regarding such elements as appropriate lighting, shooting angle andplacement and type of microphone during video shoots.
Works with video team to develop storyboards, edit and assemble final visual/audio programmaterial; ensures consistency and relevancy to production; monitors technical quality of product

Minimum Qualifications
Secondary Duties and Responsibilities* QUALIFICATIONS FOR APPOINTMENT Functional/Technical Skills*This position requires some experience with Sony Alpha cameras, DSLR cameras, mirrorless cameras,and lenses; experience in non-linear video editing programs such as Adobe Premiere Pro; andexperience with Photoshop, After Effects and Illustrator. The videographer must work well in a teamenvironment and have strong verbal and written communication skills. The videographer must behighly organized, detail-oriented, able to multi-task, and eager to produce high-quality video footage.
Preferred Qualifications
Requisite Experience*Three years or more of related experience. May be asked to provide examples of recent video projects
