Our Palm Desert office is looking for an Account Transfers Coordinator. The Coordinator will be responsible for establishing and enforcing all requirements for transferring accounts between firms, either externally or internally. These requirements will generally fall within the guidelines of FINRA and/or any other governing bodies. Every Account Transfers Coordinator will receive specialized hands-on training in securities (stock brokerage) processing, account activity monitoring and regulatory/compliance issues, systems training, securities-industry training and financial-business training. This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 6:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Occasional evenings and/or weekends work may be required as job duties demand.
Job Responsibilities:
- Enforce Policies and Regulatory Requirements as it relates to the transfer of assets and review client account activity to identify and mitigate any possible Credit/Market risk issues
- Ensure Account Transfer Forms received are complete and signed by the Authorized Person(s)
- Review Receiving and Delivering Account Titles and Account Types to make sure that they are identical and no change-of-ownership occurs
- Generate Rejection Notice to Sales Offices and obtain necessary Approval-Levels for all transfers
- Review account activity to ensure compliance with company and regulatory policies and perform data entry/input
- Help with general administrative and clerical duties (filing, printing, faxing, copying, mailings, and box records for storage)
- Answer multi-line department phones, direct calls and take messages
- Perform other tasks and duties as required and assigned
Experience and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited University preferred, but not required
- 1 year administrative or customer service experience in an office environment preferred
- Strong attention to detail and superior organizational skills
- Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines and manage multiple projects
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to cross-train
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Self-starter, able to work independently to resolve problems and implement new initiatives in support of team goals
- Ability to quickly learn new, proprietary software programs
- Prior experience in a securities/brokerage firm highly desirable
- Must be highly computer literate and proficient in MS Word and Excel and Outlook

The reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic location. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $47,840 - $52,000. Colleagues may be eligible for additional, discretionary incentive compensation based on the individual and the firm's performance. At Wedbush, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at, or near, the top of the range for their role. Decisions regarding compensation are determined on a case-by-case basis and are dependent on a variety of factors including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.
