What are the responsibilities and job description for the Regional Sales Manager - East Region position at Wedgewood Pharmacy?
Reporting to the Vice President of Sales, the Regional Sales Manager (RSM) is a strategic leader responsible for driving revenue growth and enhancing the customer experience through consultative selling practices and technology-driven solutions. The RSM directs a team of Territory Managers across multiple states, ensuring they are fully staffed, trained, and coached to achieve and exceed growth objectives. This role serves as a critical liaison between internal departments—including marketing, procurement, and pharmacy—and our customers, fostering a collaborative environment that supports Wedgewood Pharmacy's overarching business goals.
The ideal candidate will be located within the territory as this position will be responsible for managing our East Coast Region.
What you’ll do :
- Strategic Leadership : Develop and execute comprehensive short- and long-term sales strategies aligned with corporate objectives to drive revenue growth and market expansion.
- Consultative Selling : Promote a consultative sales approach, ensuring Territory Managers effectively identify customer needs, present tailored solutions, and enhance the customer experience.
- Technology-Driven Value : Leverage technology to demonstrate value to customers, streamline sales processes, and enhance data-driven decision-making. Ability to coach team on the value Wedgewood’s technology and products bring to the veterinary community.
- Team Development : Lead all personnel processes, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, training, and professional development to build a high-performing sales team.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration : Act as a strategic connector between sales, marketing, procurement, and pharmacy to ensure cohesive operations and customer-centric initiatives.
- Market Analysis : Continuously assess market trends, competitive landscape, and customer feedback to identify growth opportunities and inform strategic initiatives.
- Performance Management : Establish performance benchmarks, monitor key metrics, and provide regular coaching to optimize individual and team effectiveness.
- Business Development : Drive new business initiatives, contribute to product launches, and support corporate / GPO partnerships to expand market presence.
- Customer Engagement : Attend regional and national veterinary conferences, fostering strong relationships with key clients and industry stakeholders.
- Operational Excellence : Manage CRM activities, ensuring data accuracy and leveraging insights for strategic decision-making. Champion the use of technology platforms to improve customer engagement and internal efficiencies.
