WeDriveU is seeking an experienced and results-driven Human Resources (HR) Manager to lead HR operations for our transit property/operations. The ideal candidate will bring at least five (5) years of successful management experience in HR within the transit or a related industry. This role is critical to ensuring effective service delivery by driving HR strategies that align with operational goals and contractual requirements.
The HR Manager will oversee HR Administrators and other team members to ensure compliance, employee engagement, talent acquisition, and overall workforce success. Strategic HR Leadership:

Strategic HR Leadership:
- Implement HR policies and practices that align with WeDriveU’s operational and contractual goals
- Partner with leaders to provide strategic guidance on workforce planning, retention strategies, and employee engagement initiatives
- Manage employee relations by addressing workplace concerns and ensuring timely resolution in compliance with applicable laws and company policies
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, including FMLA, ADA, workers’ compensation, and leave management
- Collaborate with the Agency to ensure alignment with contractual performance goals and compliance requirements
- Lead full-cycle recruitment efforts to attract top talent and ensure timely hiring for operational needs
- Oversee onboarding processes to ensure a seamless and engaging experience for new hires
- Build partnerships with local agencies, educational institutions, and community organizations to enhance talent pipelines
- Implement performance management programs to drive accountability and align individual contributions with company goals
- Identify training needs and create development programs to address skill gaps and support career growth
- Maintain accurate employee records. Process all new hires, rehires, terminations, and employment changes (promotions, transfers, title changes, etc.) in Company HRIS; ensure all data is current and accurate
- Minimum of five (3) years of successful HR management experience in transit, transportation, or a related industry
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required. HR certifications (e.g., PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP) are strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across diverse teams
- Experience managing compliance within contractually obligated performance goals is a plus
- Experience working in a unionized environment is highly desirable
- Familiarity with HR systems and tools for data management and reporting
- Proven ability to handle sensitive situations with confidentiality and professionalism
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing workforce challenges
