Wee Kids Early Learning Center childcare facility looking to hire a dedicated and experienced Center Director to oversee the day-to-day activities of our childcare center and ensure that local, state, and federal childcare requirements are met. To be successful as a Center Director, you should be passionate about early childhood education and have strong leadership skills. Center Director Responsibilities:
· Ensuring that the center's facilities meet local, state, and federal safety requirements. Maintain compliance with all Childcare regulations and build the school towards achieving grow NJ quality star rating.
· Collaborating with the center staff to develop an educational curriculum that is compliant with local, state, and federal requirements.
· Screening, interviewing, and hiring suitable employees. Build a high performing learning community with a team of teachers through strong pedagogical leadership.
· Training new employees, observing their teaching techniques, and providing opportunities for professional development.
· Managing part of the center's finances by settling accounts and keeping track of fees owed to the center. Ensuring that the center is adequately stocked with necessary supplies and equipment.
· Setting up meetings with parents to address behavioral or educational concerns.
· Establishing and implementing a marketing plan to attract new parents.
· Partner with the center owners to plan, prepare for, and drive expected growth.
· Co-create and uphold the culture and values of the organization.
Center Director Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or related field.
· At least 5 years of experience working as a Center Director.
· Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills including Microsoft Office, ProCare and/or Google Suite
· Ability to work well with others (staff, children, and parents) and to foster a team environment with effective communication skills.
· Sound knowledge of local, state, and federal childcare legislation.
· Strong leadership, organizational, and conflict resolution skills.
· Prior experience in taking a center through the Grow NJ Stars ratings is big plus.
· Experience with NJ voucher program is plus.
· Experience with Teaching Strategies Creative Curriculum is must.
