What are the responsibilities and job description for the Infant/Toddler Teacher position at Wee Learn Center?
Overview:Wee Learn Center is seeking an experienced Infant/Toddler teacher in a structured Christian environment. This teacher must be nurturing and able to provide a safe and stimulating environment where children are treated as individuals in order to reach their full potential.
Minimum Education / Certification: High School Diploma or equivalent
Training: CPR / First Aid and a Criminal Background Check are required
Job Responsibilities:
- Offer a program that meets the emotional, physical, intellectual, social and spiritual needs of both the individual child and the group.
- Plan, supervise and implement the program for the class in accordance with the policies and philosophies of the Wee Learn Center.
- Gear the program to the needs of the individual child with concerns for the child's special interests, needs, talents and individual style and pace of learning.
- Consider the individual child in relationship to the child's cultural and socioeconomic background.
- Plan and implement appropriate early childhood educational experiences with a variety of materials in the fields of language arts, music, science, math, geography, art, gross motor development, etc.
- Have the ability to stay calm in any situation and discipline according to the child's age by using redirection whileadhering to the Wee Learn Center's Discipline and Guidance Policy.
- Be responsible for keeping written daily lesson plans while presenting a Christian environment to the children and their families.
- Supervise all activities to ensure safety at all times while on school and church property and while on field trips.
- Communicate daily with parents verbally or written.
- Be responsible for participating in staff meetings, open house and in-service training, for a minimum of 24 clock hours yearly.
- Be responsible for abiding by the employee policies of the school as well as the Minimum Standards outlined by the Texas Department of Human Resources.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $10.00 - $19.00 per hour
