Area Operations Manager

Position Summary:

At Weed Man, our mission is to deliver unparalleled, professional lawn care services that our customers can rely on. As an Area Manager, you will be the driving force behind a team of passionate Lawn Care Specialists, ensuring that exceptional service is delivered every day. You’ll play a key role in shaping the success of your team, making sure their focus remains on what matters most—putting our customers first. You will collaborate with the Operations Manager to strategically organize daily operations and lead your team to exceed performance goals.

Position Responsibilities:

· Lead & Inspire: Recruit, train, and mentor your team of Lawn Care Specialists, setting clear performance goals around customer service, sales, and production to ensure that both new and existing customers receive the best experience possible.

· Customer-Centric Leadership: Interact with customers daily, resolving any turf-care issues and service challenges. Your goal is to maintain and strengthen customer loyalty by delivering exceptional service.

· Strategic Planning & Execution: Be an active participant in the development of strategies for the department’s growth, collaborating closely with leadership to ensure alignment with the company’s vision.

· Team Alignment & Development: Implement training programs to align your team with company goals, ensuring they have the tools and knowledge needed to excel in their roles.

· Enforce Standards: Maintain and uphold company policies, procedures, and Health and Safety standards, ensuring a safe and compliant work environment for your team.

· Production Management: Oversee the scheduling, tracking, and reporting of daily production and calibration data, ensuring smooth execution of work routes for your team.

· Chemical & Equipment Oversight: Manage the efficient mixing of chemicals and ensure all technical equipment is in optimal working order. You’ll also oversee the maintenance of company vehicles and production equipment to ensure top-tier serviceability.

· Inventory Control: Handle the purchasing and inventory management of chemicals and supplies, keeping track of stock levels to avoid shortages or overstocking.

· Quality Control & Excellence: Conduct regular quality control checks to ensure service standards are met, driving the department towards continuous improvement.

· Cross-Department Collaboration: Work seamlessly with other teams across the company to maximize company-wide results, ensuring that your team’s success contributes to the overall goals of Weed Man.

· Other Duties as Needed: Be flexible and ready to take on additional responsibilities as they arise to ensure the overall success of the company.

Essential Skills & Experience:

Proven Leadership: 1-2 years in a management role within a similar or related industry.

Lawn Care Expertise: Previous experience in lawn care is a plus, but a passion for learning the trade is essential.

Customer Service Mindset: A deep commitment to delivering outstanding customer experiences.

Technical Savvy: Strong technical knowledge, particularly around lawn care processes and equipment.

Licensing & Certifications: A valid pesticide applicator’s license (or willingness to obtain one).

Strong Communicator: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to connect with a wide range of stakeholders.

Time Management Pro: Demonstrated ability to stay organized, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple responsibilities effectively.

Tech-Comfortable: Basic proficiency with MS Office and the ability to work with various computer systems.

Driver’s License: A valid driver’s license is required, with a willingness to drive for work purposes.

Flexibility & Resilience: Ability to work extended hours during peak production times.

Detail-Oriented & Self-Motivated: A keen eye for detail and the initiative to work independently and take ownership of your team’s success.

Environmental Hazards:

This role involves working in various outdoor conditions, including exposure to weather elements such as heat, cold, humidity, and occasional rain. You may also be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, or chemicals, and will be required to work near moving mechanical parts. Safety and proper training will be provided to ensure your well-being while performing duties.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $54,000.00 - $56,000.00 per year
