Manager in Training

Weed Man is currently looking for the right candidate to join our team as a Manager in Training. As a Manager in Training you will learn all aspects of Weed Man including the technical work on lawns, sales & marketing approach, and administrative functions.

This process is designed to develop Weed Man’s next generation of leaders. The position is designed to prepare for upper level management positions within 1-2 years of employment. Future opportunities within the company include sales management, branch management, senior level management and even the opportunity to begin your own branch or franchise!

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Winter & Spring (November – April)

• Train directly under the Branch Manager & Assistant Manager to learn the in's and outs of our winter/spring door to door marketing campaign; lead generation by offering free estimates door to door in neighborhoods where we have customers, no selling required.
• Supervise a team of Lead Generators, Monday- Friday, 8:30a-5:30pm (Saturdays will be used for weather delays and make up time)
• Coach and develop Lead Generators to reach our company metrics
• Participate in business planning and budget meetings

Summer & Fall (May – October)

• Perform fertilizer, weed control, and insect applications for our residential customers
• Upsell existing and generate new customers in the field
• Help train & develop new technicians
• Complete customer service calls to address lawn issues & quote new clients
• Monday - Friday, ~7:00 am - 3pm (varies throughout the season) and Saturdays will be used for weather delays

Job Requirements:

· Must have valid driver’s license and be insurable by our coverage provider

· Reliably commute to work each day

· 2 years of management is preferred

· Prior experience in the industry is preferred

· Able to work long hours & occasional Saturdays during busy spring months

· Basic understanding of computer systems, MS office, and ability to troubleshoot problems

· Must have strong written and oral communication skills

· Able to lift 50 lbs. several times each day.

Pay: $18.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
