Position Summary
The Sales Manager in Training (MIT) is an entry-level developmental role designed for
individuals eager to learn all aspects of sales operations and team collaboration while
receiving hands-on mentorship and coaching. Through a structured training program,
participants will develop key skills in sales strategy, customer relationship management,
communication, and adaptability. With personalized guidance from experienced leaders,
the MIT will gain the tools needed to succeed in future leadership opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Learn and execute the Weed Man sales process, including lead generation,
outbound calls, and customer relationship management.
Participate in mentorship and coaching sessions to develop both technical skills
and soft skills such as communication, collaboration, and emotional intelligence.
Work closely with the Sales Manager and team leaders to gain insight into
business operations and sales strategies.
Assist with the recruitment, onboarding, and training of new sales team members
under the guidance of experienced mentors.
Receive regular feedback and coaching to accelerate learning and personal
growth.
Shadow team leaders to understand different leadership styles and approaches to
managing a team.
Collaborate with the marketing team and operations to enhance the overall
customer experience.
Contribute to team discussions and provide fresh ideas on improving processes
and sales performance.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred, but not
required.
1–2 years of sales or customer service experience preferred.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; CRM experience is a plus.
30-60-90 Day Training and Development Plan
First 30 Days – Introduction and Mentorship
Goal: Build a foundation in sales processes, team culture, and start receiving
personalized coaching.
Complete company orientation, learning about Weed Man’s history, mission, and
values.
Meet with assigned mentors and begin receiving regular coaching and feedback.
Shadow experienced sales team members to observe customer interactions and
sales techniques.
Participate in workshops focused on communication and customer service skills.
Begin making supervised sales calls and practicing basic sales techniques.
Days 31–60 – Skill Building and Coaching
Goal: Deepen your knowledge of sales processes, develop core skills, and continue
receiving coaching.
Manage individual sales calls and follow-ups with the guidance of mentors.
Continue participating in coaching sessions focused on problem-solving,
adaptability, and collaboration.
Join weekly strategy meetings to understand how sales goals are set and
measured.
Work on refining customer engagement skills and managing customer
relationships.
Receive structured feedback from managers and mentors to track progress and
set new learning goals.
Days 61–90 – Application and Growth
Goal: Apply learned skills with growing independence, contribute ideas to the team, and
develop a long-term growth plan.
Take greater ownership of daily sales activities and customer engagement.
Collaborate with mentors on a personal growth project, such as process
improvement or enhancing the customer experience.
Lead portions of team discussions to practice communication and presentation
skills.
Participate in additional coaching sessions focused on future career development.
Present a summary of your learning experience and future goals to leadership.
