Technical Supervisor

Position Summary:

The Technical Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the technical department, ensuring efficiency and excellence in service delivery. As a customer-focused company, we believe that supporting our team starts with prioritizing our customers' needs.

In this role, the Technical Supervisor collaborates with the General Manager to plan, organize, and oversee the completion of daily tasks while leading and supporting the technical team.

Strong management skills—including problem-solving, communication, leadership, time management, and team building—are essential for success. Every task performed contributes to the ultimate goal of delivering exceptional service in a timely and cost-effective manner.

Duties and Responsibilities:

 Manage and direct the technical department to meet and exceed customer service requirements for new and existing customers.

 Participate in the planning, development and execution of strategy for the future development of the department.

 Develop and implement programs and training necessary to ensure that all Technicians and SR Technicians are aligned with the goals of the department.

 Hire, supervise, schedule, assess performance, train and coach Technicians and SR Technicians.

 Manage and enforce all company policies and procedures, as well as Health and Safety policies

 Manage the technical department’s budgets, finances and resources

 Plan production routes for each work day and allocate work to Technicians and SR Technicians

 Ensure all technical equipment is in working order

 Prepare reports on a regular basis for review with the General Manager

 Perform other related duties and responsibilities as required to meet the goals of the company

Qualifications:

 Previous employee management experience is an asset

 Previous experience in lawn care an asset

 University or college education

 Strong technical knowledge

 Customer service oriented

 Valid pesticide applicators license, or willing to obtain one

 Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.

 Excellent time management, organizational and multi-tasking skills.

 Valid driver’s license

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
