The role…
The Engineering & Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing all engineering and maintenance activities within our 24/7 manufacturing facility. This role requires a proactive leader with strong technical expertise and a commitment to maintaining high standards of equipment reliability, safety and efficiency.
How you’ll make an impact…
- Lead by example in a values-based culture, promoting Weidmann Leadership Principles of Trust, Alignment, Pride, and Accountability.
- Mentor and develop the engineering and maintenance teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
- Ensure effective communication and collaboration across all shifts and departments to maintain high-performance teams.
- Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance programs, manage preventative maintenance schedules, and oversee repairs to ensure equipment reliability.
- Oversee engineering projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to required standards, while supporting new product introductions and process improvements.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, promote a safety-first culture, and lead safety audits and training programs.
- Manage facility equipment, assets, and spare parts inventory while leading engineering and maintenance projects from conception to completion.
What do you bring…
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Maintenance Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years experience in engineering and maintenance within a manufacturing environment, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Strong technical knowledge of manufacturing equipment, processes, and systems.
- Proven experience with preventative and predictive maintenance programs.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with excellent problem-solving abilities and a data-driven approach to decision-making
- Proficiency in maintenance management software and systems.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies.
