Position Summary: The Marketing Specialist works closely with internal and external teams to bring success to Weidmüller marketing campaigns and events, delivering results to customers, distribution partners, sales teams and internal stakeholders. The Marketing Specialist will be a champion and advocate for our brand, and we are seeking someone to work with a dynamic team that is focused on Smart Industrial Connectivity and Manufacturing.
Primary Responsibilities
- Primary focus on coordination of all logistics for national trade show events to include:
- Travel and attendance to national/regional trade show events to capture relevant lead generating marketing data
- Onsite tradeshow setup/teardown and management of show event timeline
- Coordinate regional events in individual sales regions to ensure the company is well represented in all geographies.
- Assists with website and social management/posting, photography and video production, copywriting/editing, and public relations.
- Supports sales channels with marketing literature, giveaways and banners.
- Assists in editing and maintaining the company website.
- Manages production of internal/external newsletter-magazine.
- Collaborates with key stakeholders across Marketing to ensure project requirements and expectations are well communicated.
- Supports existing marketing initiatives while contributing to development of new campaigns that align with company objectives.
- Manages multiple projects simultaneously and navigates changing priorities effectively
- Other marketing projects as assigned.
Experience & Educational Requirements
- Minimum High School Diploma or GED
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications or related program preferred
- Proficient with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Fluency in social media management & execution
- Experience in event or trade show planning/coordination is desired
- Adobe Suite knowledge is a big plus
- High degree of organization and attention to detail
- Proven ability to work effectively under tight deadline requirements
- Excellent writing and communication skills – writing samples required
- Organized, Proactive and a Team Player
Physical Demands
- Must be able to travel as dictated by business need to tradeshow events (including overnight)
- Ability to travel via airplane
- Continuously remain in a stationary position, particularly, but not limited to, at a desktop computer or on a tradeshow floor
- Occasional moving about, particularly, but not limited to, in the office building, tradeshows and marketing events
- Occasional lifting up to 10 pounds
