Summary
We are seeking a passionate Preschool Teacher to join our team at Weigelstown Child Care, LLC. In this role, you will foster a love of learning in young children while supporting their developmental needs in a nurturing environment. This position is vital to our mission of providing high-quality child care.
Responsibilities
- Feeding, changing diapers, and cleaning infants
- Provide a nurturing learning environment
- Assist with developmental milestones
- Closing and cleaning room for end of day
- Logging meals, bottles, and diapers
Requirements
- Must Have 2,500 hours documented working with children
- Four childcare clearances required (FBI fingerprinting, state police criminal background check, national sex offender registry, and child abuse)
- Work physical with negative TB test
- Two letters of reference from unrelated sources (can be used to document 2,500 hours)
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- State mandated trainings for child abuse and health/safety (required within 90 days of employment)
- Note: A degree in Early Childhood, Elementary Education, Human Development and Family Studies, or other degrees accepted by the Department of Human Services would provide the opportunity for a higher wage (discussed at interview).
