Summer Camp Counselor
Summer Camp runs Monday, 6/2/25- Friday, 8/15/25
Closed week of Monday, 6/30/25- Friday, 7/4/25
Duties:
- Supervise and engage with kids during daily activities and events
- Plan and lead age-appropriate games, crafts, and recreational activities
- Provide guidance and support to kids in their personal growth and development
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all kids at all times
- Assist with meal times, including serving food and monitoring kids' behavior
- Collaborate with other staff to create a positive and inclusive environment
Requirements:
- Experience working with children
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices
- Strong classroom management skills
- First aid/CPR certification or willingness to obtain certification upon employment
- Familiarity with behavior management techniques for children
- Experience working with students with special education needs is a plus
- Background in early childhood education is preferred
Must Have:
- 4 clearances to work in childcare: FBI fingerprinting, child abuse clearance, national sex offender registry, and state police criminal background check (all must be through Department of Human Services).
- Physical with a negative TB test
- 2,500 documented hours working with children (preferred not required)
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
