Quality Control Inspector

Role Overview:

The Quality Control Inspector plays a crucial role in maintaining product quality, ensuring customer satisfaction, and upholding the reputation of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Inspecting Products:

• Conducting visual inspections and using tools to text products for defects or deviations from specifications.

2. Sampling and Testing:

• Taking samples for testing and conducting tests to ensure products meet quality standards, often following Acceptable Quality Limit (AQL) guidelines.

3. Documenting Findings:

• Recording inspection and test results, documenting any deviations from standards, and maintaining accurate records.

4. Identifying and Resolving Issues:

• Identifying quality problems or non-conformities and working with production teams to address them.

5. Ensuring Compliance:

• Ensuring that products comply with relevant regulations, standards, and customer requirements.

6. Calibration and Maintenance:

• Calibrating and maintaining inspection equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.

7. Process Improvement:

• Participating in continuous improvement efforts to enhance product quality and efficiency.

8. Communication:

• Communicating quality issues and recommendations to relevant stakeholders, including production teams and management.

9. Training:

• Provide training to production staff on quality standards, procedures, and best practices.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in quality assurance a plus, but not required.
• Basic proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment.
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
• Ability to lift/move 20-40 lbs on a regular cadence in an ongoing basis.
