Salary Range: $100,000.00 - $116,400.00

Position Summary

Provides the full scope of acupuncture services for patients and education for the staff and community, with the goal of enhancing patients' well-being and quality of life.

Job Responsibilities

  • Conducts acupuncture educational sessions for patients, clinicians and community groups.
  • Conducts one-on-one acupuncture consultations, group acupuncture sessions, and acupressure.
  • Develops and maintains a portfolio of acupuncture educational materials for clinicians and patients, using print and non-print media.
  • Documents detailed visit summaries in the electronic medical record and plan for patient follow-up
  • Provides education to patients, clients, community groups, and staff on the benefits of acupuncture
  • Works primarily with outpatients, but may also work with hospitalized patients
  • Complies with all WCM policies and procedures, and adheres to HIPAA regulations.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education

  • Master's Degree

Experience

Approximately 2-4 years of acupuncture experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to exercise standards of professionalism, including appearance, presentation and demeanor.
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent customer service skills in person, via email and on the telephone.
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).

Licenses and Certifications

  • Current acupuncture license in state of New York.
  • Graduate of an acupuncture program accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (ACAOM).
