Purpose of Role: The role will assist local leadership with continuous improvement initiatives to streamline production processes and increase efficiency. Additionally, this role will also assist the safety department with job safety analysis, standard operating procedures and general process improvements.

Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to improvements of rubber lining, equipment repair processes, and warehousing, including new processes, tools and equipment
- Participate in short- and long-term operations planning, plant layout, process planning, routing creation and estimating manufacturing costs.
- Facilitate the deployment of continuous improvement initiatives to eliminate waste in our processes by utilizing Lean tools such as value streams, WINS, TPM, and 6S.
- Design and manage production or procurement of jigs, fixturing and equipment to improve process efficiency, quality and/or capacity throughout manufacturing and operations processes
- Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture.
- Achieved or Working towards B.S. Degree from a four-year College or University in related Engineering discipline. Minimum Junior year.
- Prior Exposure to a Lean or Six Sigma Culture
- 6S methodology Familiarity
- Hands on Manufacturing or Industrial Experience is a plus
- Any equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered for candidates that have the ability to perform the objectives above.
