CCU- Combination ICU position at Weirton Medical Center in West Virginia.

Must have 3 years of ICU experience.

Must have balloon pump experience.

Must be comfortable with Vent management and drip titration.

Job Requirements

BLS certification required.

ACLS certification required.

NIHSS certification required.

3 years of ICU experience required.

Schedule Information

RN 7-7 shifts, with a 6 : 45-7 : 15 start for days.

4 week schedule that staff can create, not finalized until completed.

Weekend requirements : Every other weekend (EOW).

Holiday rotation may be required.

1 Day General Orientation, 1 day with a preceptor.

Unit Specific Information

Nurse : Patient Ratios : 1 : 2-3.

Travelers can float to any inpatient unit, first to float.

Additional Details

Common diagnoses include respiratory distress, post-arrest, acute MI, balloon pumps, vents, and patients needing vasopressor support.

Charge nurse takes a full patient assignment.

RT available 24 / 7, assigned to multiple units.

Nurses must read and interpret telemetry strips.
