Job Details

CCU- Combination ICU position at Weirton Medical Center

Common diagnoses include respiratory distress, post-arrest, acute MI, balloon pumps, vents, and vasopressor support.

Must have 3 years of ICU experience and balloon pump experience.

Comfortable with Vent management and drip titration is required.

Job Requirements

BLS certification required

ACLS certification required

NIHSS certification required

3 years of ICU experience

Experience with balloon pumps

Comfortable with vent management and drip titration

Schedule Information

RN shifts are 7 AM to 7 PM, with a 15-minute overlap for handoff.

4-week schedule that staff can help create, but not finalized until completed.

Every other weekend required.

May be asked to participate in holiday rotation.

Unit Specific Information

1 Day General Orientation, 1 day with a preceptor.

Navy Blue scrub color / dress code.

Additional Details

Charge nurse takes a full patient assignment.

Nurse : Patient Ratios are 1 : 2-3.

RT available 24 / 7, assigned to multiple units.

Nurses must read and interpret telemetry strips.
