Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of grocery department operations, including inventory management, customer relations, and associate scheduling.
- Promote excellent customer service by instilling positive behavior with associates and resolving customer concerns promptly.
- Schedule and oversee training, provide coaching and feedback, evaluate work, recognize and reward performance, and delegate work assignments to effectively utilize talents and abilities.
- Develop and implement merchandising plans, communicating with other departments and store management to create attractive displays and meet sales and profit objectives.
- Maintain backroom and receiving area security and organization by promoting 5S procedures, responsible for general sanitation in the department.
- Control expenses including payroll within budgeted expectations, minimize damages and shrink through proper product handling and rotation.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent desired; Associate or bachelor's degree in business related field desirable.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years' experience in management of retail/supermarket environment.
- Certifications: None specified.
