What are the responsibilities and job description for the Van Driver position at Weiser Care of Cascadia?
Performs driving duties in support of the facility and residents.Note: All employees of Cascadia Healthcare are required to submit and be cleared to work in the facility per each state’s specific background check requirements prior to contact with patients/residents.Essential Functions
- Safely transports residents to and from doctors' appointments, organized outings, and resident admission to facility.
- Schedule appointments based on patient's needs in cooperation with the Nursing Department.
- Reports significant changes in resident’s condition or poor tolerance for travel.
- Completes a safety checklist and takes corrective action prior to operating facility vehicles.
- Assists residents to enter and exit the vehicle.
- Makes deliveries, picks up supplies and equipment and load and unloads vehicle.
- Takes vehicle for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.
Other Functions
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Conducts job responsibilities in accordance with the standards set out in the Company’s Code of Business Conduct, its policies and procedures, applicable federal and state laws, and applicable professional standards.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Skilled at operating a motor vehicle safely.
- Ability to communicate effectively with residents, family members and facility staff.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to be patient and polite.
- Knowledge of vehicle operations and maintenance procedures.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
