We are looking to add to our team! We are currently seeking a: CT TECHNICIAN OR STUDENT RADIOLOGY TECHNOLOGIST WILLING TO CROSS TRAIN IN TO CT (PART-TIME)to join our Radiology team. Our CT Technicians are responsible for performing all CT procedures as well as routine diagnostic radiographic procedures for diagnostic purposes. Demonstrates safe and effective operation of all diagnostic imaging equipment and processes while applying knowledge of principles of radiation safety (ALARA). Explains procedures to patients, schedules exams, obtaining and recording patient histories and consent forms as needed. Properly positions patients with appropriate devices to obtain desired anatomic position. Selects techniques and correct protocols for exams, manipulates reconstructed images to optimally visualize desired anatomy. Reviews, verifies and evaluates images to ensure technical and image quality prior to sending to the radiologist. Adheres to hospital safety, security and infection control policies and procedures. This is a benefits eligible position which includes Idaho State Retirement (PERSI), generous PTO and Sick Time, Medical, Vision, Dental and more. Additionally, WMH offers a room rental program for those who may travel into Weiser for work! Total hours needed is 20. Shifts will be 12 hours on Sundays and 8 hours on Fridays. Additional Requirements:
Knowledge and understanding of general anatomy, physiology and medical terminology.
Possesses a high level of knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy.
Flexible and self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
Must have excellent communication, people skills and ability to show empathy.
Must possess critical thinking skills, pay attention to detail and be willing to learn.
Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. Additional languages preferred.
