Summary
As Weisiger Group approaches its 100th anniversary in 2026, we are pleased to represent industry leading brands of Caterpillar, Hyster & Yale, SITECH, and others. We are seeking an impactful and driven Director, Communications , who will develop and execute strategic communication plans that engage employees, reinforce the company's culture and values, champion our brand(s), guide our narrative to resonate in diverse markets, and align with business objectives.
Reporting to the SVP, Chief People Officer, this role is responsible for crafting and delivering compelling narratives through various internal and external channels, fostering a connected, informed, and engaged workforce and bolstering our transparent, values-driven reputation within our markets. The Director will collaborate closely with the senior leadership team, HR, and marketing to deliver enterprise employee communications and support Weisiger Group's brands on key announcements and other enterprise-wide initiatives. As an individual contributor, this role requires a hands-on approach, leveraging partnership, influence, and collaboration to achieve results. The Director must possess strong project management skills to independently deliver impactful communications and ensure alignment across teams.
Essential Functions
- Design and execute integrated communication strategies that align with and illustrate the company's culture, values, and business objectives.
- Create integrated communication plans that are aligned with Weisiger Group's strategic priorities, upcoming business deliverables and initiatives, and ensure implementation of the key deliverables of these plans.
- Function as a trusted advisor to the senior leadership and HR teams on matters related to internal communication and the promotion of employee engagement.
- Develop and manage internal communications content, including newsletters, announcements, emails, town halls, intranet articles, presentations, video scripts, and other enterprise-wide messaging to reinforce the company's culture and values.
- Measure and evaluate the effectiveness and impact of communications activities and initiatives and provide insights and recommendations for improvement.
- Oversee the internal communications channels, tools, and processes to deliver timely and relevant information across the organization.
- Write messages and talking points for senior leadership for internal and external use.
- Partner with senior leadership to establish crisis protocols, developing proactive planning and response strategies for transparent communication during critical events.
- Develop and maintain an enterprise-wide internal communications calendar to schedule communications for best engagement and consumption.
- Manage the company's intranet platform, with a focus on aligned, engaging content and improved employee experience.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and function as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert on internal communications.
- Work with both internal and external collaborators to craft impactful narratives for press stories, news, blogs, articles for publication, and newsletters relating to the company and its services to maximize opportunities for positive public relations.
- Support the company's philanthropy programs and function as a liaison between nonprofits and the company; support grant administration, program design and resulting communications from grants awarded.
