Job Description
The Shipping & Receiving Coordinator oversees and completes any work involving shipping or receiving of products. This position will develop processes to increase efficiency and ensure that products coming in or going out meet all specifications. This position would report to the Shop Supervisor / Director of Engineering and Manufacturing Operations.

Pay Range : $17-$25 / hour
Job Responsibilities
Certify all orders are accurate and are ready to ship on timeWork and communicate with customers via email / phone to ensure proper transport of goods.Determine the proper method of shipment and prepare bills of lading and other shipping documents.Estimates freight or postal rates and records shipment costs and weights.Examines shipment contents and compares with records such as manifests or orders to verify accuracy.Enters shipping information into a computer by hand or by a hand-held scanner that reads bar codes on goods.Assists in negotiating and arranging transport of goods with shipping or freight companies.Directs or participates in cargo loading / unloading to ensure completeness of load and even distribution of weight.Collaborate with Shop Supervision, Planning and Scheduling Specialist, and ManagementCoordinate the receiving of all incoming shipments and put-a-ways into the company's inventoryReceive all items in a timely manner within IPS ERP systemUnload and load various shipments via the use of a forklift or overhead crane.Reconcile material packing slips, POs, and part countsPerform physical and administrative tasks involved in the receiving, storing and distributing of materials, parts, supplies and equipment.Communicate issues / delays as it relates to the weekly back log to ensure proper production flowAssist in maintaining the highest quality of product provided by Industrial Profile SystemsMaintain records and prepare reports as neededPerform other miscellaneous job duties and related functions as directed.Desired Skills & Experience
High school diploma or GEDMinimum of 2-3 years of shipping and receiving experienceMinimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environmentKnowledge of methods and practices involved in shipping and receivingAbility to read precision measuring devices, apply shop mathematics to practical problems, read sketches, specs, and blueprintsA confident personality with a positive attitude is a must; creative solution finderAbility to work independently and manage multiple priorities and tasks with a sense of urgencyWell organized with an aptitude for detailsEffective verbal and written communication skillsHave the ability to multi-task and produce quality results under pressureProficient in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)Knowledge of Microsoft Business Central is a plus, but not requiredCompany Description
