About the Position
This is a generalist IT role—a true "jack of all trades"—ensuring smooth business operations during normal business hours. The position includes: Network & System Administration, Email & Office 365 Administration, Cybersecurity Tasks, Data Center and Infrastructure Support, Helpdesk and Endpoint management.
Essential Functions
Systems & Equipment Administration:
· Independently manage, coordinate, and implement the administration and maintenance of the company’s personal computers and hosted telephone system, including both hardware and software installation as well as equipment deployment.
· Analyze, diagnose and resolve technical issues with computer hardware, software, and related peripheral equipment.
· Work with printers, VOIP Phones, Windows Laptops, Conference Room Equipment
· Administer user account permissions using Active Directory (AD) and Azure Active Directory.
· Enroll end users in Mobile Device Management (MDM) and Mobile Application Management (MAM) using Intune.
· Manage the Exchange 365 environment by onboarding/offboarding employees, creating mailboxes, and maintaining phishing/spam policies.
Security & Patch Management:
· Implement and oversee the deployment of security patches for all staff computers and other equipment using RMM tools, ensuring timely updates.
· Continuously evaluate and maintain endpoint security tools (e.g., SIEM and management tools), review alerts, and determine the appropriate response.
· Administer and conduct vulnerability testing program, analyze test results, and implement security improvements based on findings.
· Make security recommendations and assist in managing the firm’s efforts in areas such as anti-virus software, firewall configurations, EDR/ATC tools, and VPN software.
· Ensure that patching cycles are maintained for all equipment, including switches, servers, and phones.
IT Support & Help Desk Management:
· Oversee Help Desk LAN administration, including documenting new user requests, managing software licensing, and maintaining computer inventory.
· Resolve help desk tickets and provide break-fix support for end users.
· Oversee and maintain conference room audiovisual systems.
· Occasionally travel to local employees’ homes in the greater Omaha area to assist with home office connectivity issues related to Weitz services.
Business Continuity & User Management:
· Test elements of the company’s business continuity plan, including performing viability tests on backups every six months.
· Work collaboratively with the IT Manager to develop and enforce policies that adhere to industry’s best practices for data security.
· Deploy phishing tests and manage employee cybersecurity training programs.
· Ensure password resets are completed in a timely manner per our password policy.

Requirements:Requirements
· Four-year university degree or college diploma required, preferably in the field of computer science or related academic fields.
· 3 years of relevant experience.
· 3 years of experience supporting enterprise-wide LANs, WANs, WLANs, VPNs, etc.
· Hands-on experience troubleshooting hardware such as servers, switches, and routers.
· Knowledge and understanding of system flow charts, data processing concepts, and telecommunications principles.
· Experience supporting VOIP telephone systems.
· 2 years’ experience supporting Microsoft Office 365 / Exchange.
· Experience working with Windows Server OS
