Our company, Welby Solutions, has been maintaining the vegetation at utility-scale solar farms since 2018. This 2025 season, we plan to add significantly to our core group of employees. We are hiring now for seasonal employment – expected to begin March 1 and go through October. Our compensation is competitive - $22 to $25/hr., based on prior experience. At the end of the season, there may be opportunity for permanent employment or an opportunity to be rehired next season, depending on job performance.

Job Description
The Crew Leader position is full-time, with Monday-Friday day shifts. You will be managing and leading a crew of 3-4 members, working outdoors performing various vegetation management services at customer utility-scale solar job sites. To be successful in this position you must be a great leader, display a strong work ethic, be reliable, dependable, and a positive member of the team. Although preferred, this position does not require previous vegetation management experience and you will be provided training on the equipment we use and programs we implement to successfully complete jobs. During the season, you will have the opportunity to prove yourself and earn more responsibility. At the end of the season, there may be opportunities for permanent employment and greater pay in higher-level positions.
Your work and responsibilities will include:
· Operating commercial Zero-turn mowers, tractors, and similar operating equipment (training provided)
· Applying herbicide applications, if needed (training provided)
· Adhering to company's safety policies
· Maintaining assigned equipment
· Ability and willingness to work flexible hours
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
· Work authorization for the U.S.
· Physically able to work outdoors in the summer heat, the winter cold, and varying conditions.
· Ability to travel with a crew if occasionally needed.
· Safety minded, team-oriented, reliable, shows great attention to detail, willing to take on responsibilities and challenges, works well under stress, and punctual.
· Basic math and ability to use technology such as iPhones/Tablets.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
