Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join the team at our Grandview, WA plant. The technician will maintain, repair, and install plant production and/or processing equipment. You will contribute to the total efficiency and productivity of our facility.
What You'll Do:
- Conduct routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on a wide range of production & processing machinery and equipment, including but not limited to motors, conveyors, pumps, and hydraulic systems
- Perform root cause analysis to diagnose equipment malfunctions and identify effective solutions to reduce downtime and maintain production efficiency
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance tasks, aligned with manufacturer specifications and industry best practices
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to prioritize and coordinate maintenance activities with minimal disruption to production
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including maintenance logs, work orders, and equipment documentation
- Follow safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment by following proper maintenance, housekeeping and sanitation procedures in compliance with food safety and government regulations
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and recommend modifications or upgrades to enhance equipment performance and reliability
- Stay up to date with industry trends and technological advancements in maintenance practices, attending training sessions and workshops as required
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned in support of plant maintenance and productivity
Who You Are:
- Safety focused with the proven ability to safely work on and around complex, automated machinery
- A collaborative team player with strong verbal and written communication skills
- Skilled in troubleshooting Electrical, PLC (Allen Bradley), Pneumatics, Hydraulics, Motors, and mechanical systems
- Proactive and able to work independently
- Able to work all shifts in a 24x 7 operation
- Able and willing to work in a non-temperature regulated environment
What You'll Need:
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required
- Technical certifications or vocational training in mechanical maintenance preferred
- Food/beverage or CPG manufacturing experience preferred; juice blending, pasteurization, concentration and tank storage is a plus
- 3 years experience as a Maintenance Technician or Maintenance Mechanic focused on machine maintenance and repair within a manufacturing/processing or similar environment required
- Applicant must pass Welch's standard aptitude testing for this position
