What are the responsibilities and job description for the BPS Communications Internship: 2024-25 School Year position at Welcome Center?

Qualifications:
- Enrolled in college/university, with a major in communications, journalism, public relations, graphic design, or related field in good academic standing.
- Be self-motivated and organized.
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills.
- Knowledge of public education or the Bellevue/Offutt community is helpful.
Job Description:
- Work directly with the Director of Communications.
- Plan and create social media posts on all BPS platforms that market to the appropriate audiences.
- Design graphics and write documents for social media and internal use.
- Create multimedia features using a DSLR camera.
- Assist in event planning and logistical brainstorming.
- Assist in developing internal and external communication strategies.
Required qualifications are that the applicant not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of himself/herself or others with or without reasonable accommodations, and must be capable of regularly attending to the duties of the position assigned and for the duration of the assignment.
