About the Role
The Manager II, Investor Relations (IR) will be a results-driven and dynamic individual experienced in developing and implementing communication strategies to effectively convey company financial performance, strategic direction, and market position. The ideal candidate will also have a strong background in finance and/or investment banking, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build and maintain strategic relationships with investors, analysts, internal team members and other key stakeholders. Let’s talk about some of the key responsibilities of the role:
- Support the implementation of IR strategies and programs
- Partner and collaborate with various corporate teams, including Corporate Communications, Legal, Accounting, Finance and Strategy.
- Prepare earnings and other IR materials, including earnings and press releases, scripts and presentations, key message documents and slides.
- Perform analytical comparison of peer group reporting and summarize significant events for executive management.
- Monitor and assess market and sector dynamics as well as all investment research (including models and estimates) on the company and its industry peers.
- Provide data and metrics-driven insights into the market and competitive landscape, using the information to counsel executive management and guide investor communications and activities.
- Track and manage analyst reports, earnings estimates, and financial models.
- Support investor facing events, including conference calls, in-person meetings, non-deal roadshows and other IR events.
- Serve as a point of contact for all investor inquiries, cultivate and maintain strong relationships with investors (current and potential), sell-side research analysts and other key stakeholders.
- Anticipate investor concerns, questions, and needs by keeping current on the industry and competitive landscape while maintaining a deep understanding of business progress.
Factors for Success:
- BA/BS degree required, with advanced degree in business-related discipline preferred.
- At least 5 years of investor relations or related experience within a publicly traded Biotechnology and/or Pharmaceutical company, consulting firm, and/or relevant finance or investment banking/capital markets experience. Clear and thorough understanding of the financial modeling techniques used by analysts to project a company's operating and financial performance and the resulting value for its stock.
- Proven track-record of building relationships with analysts and investors.
- Hands-on experience in a proactive corporate and financial communications strategy, with a reputation for integrity, transparency, and follow-through.
- Ability to forge long-term trusted relationships quickly and effectively; interact with and support C-suite executives, including potential travel with the C-suite executives to investor conferences, roadshows and other IR events.
- Knowledge of Regulations FD, Sarbanes-Oxley law and other regulations.
- Strong leadership presence with outstanding communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively to project plan, problem-solve and deliver results.
- Ability to translate and effectively communicate analytical data to non-technical professionals, and the ability to successfully influence even when holding a position contrary to the majority opinion.
- Expert level knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

- This position reports directly to our Head of Investor Relations
- Some travel may be required – up to 30%

The expected base pay range for this position is $116,200 - $162,800 plus bonus, stock equity, and comprehensive benefits. The base pay range reflects the target range for this position, but individual pay will be determined by additional factors such as job-related skills, experience and relevant education or training.
