Welcoming America is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Certified Welcoming Audit Consultant (auditor) to join our team. The auditor will be responsible for conducting comprehensive audits of local governments seeking certification. This role involves reviewing self-assessments and desktop analyses, conducting on-site audits, and compiling detailed reports summarizing the findings.
Key Responsibilities :
1. Self-Assessment and Desktop Analysis Review :
- Thoroughly review self-assessment documents submitted by local governments.
- Review desktop research and background information to understand the context and scope of the community's welcoming practices.
- Review desktop analysis to prioritize questions and evidence gathering during the audit.

Qualifications :
Proven experience in research and evaluations, preferably within local government or non-profit sectors.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to review and interpret complex documents.
Travel
The Certified Welcoming Audit Consultant will be required to travel for several days to perform audits. Travel will typically consist of 3 nights and four days. Welcoming America will cover travel expenses through a combination of direct payment and reimbursements.
Training and Orientation
Certified Welcoming is a rigorous program and requires an in-depth knowledge of the Welcoming Standard and best practices in immigrant inclusion. Welcoming America provides a paid two-day orientation and a virtual training audit.
Payment
Due to the varying degree of workload for each star designation, a different payment structure has been established for each star designation. (Amounts in addition to travel expense reimbursement / payment).
