Job Description
- Performs complex duties, i.e., type documents, correspondence, reports, case file cards utilizing technical terminology and composition skills requiring accuracy and completeness; coordinates and plans project activities.
- Transcribes and types a variety of confidential documents and correspondence.
- May act as liaison for department with other county offices, agencies, and the public. Establishes and maintains filing systems, pulling files, updating and replacing them as needed.
- Operates various items of office equipment, which may include a fingerprint scanner, computer terminals, and specialized printing devices.
- Performs moderately complex accounting work; receives and verifies information from various sources and enters data into ledgers and other records. Prepares statistical reports and produces financial information as directed.
- Performs essential tasks of other office positions after being cross trained in those positions, when the regular employee is absent due to illness, vacation, or otherwise, when needed.
- Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
Required Education
- High School Diploma/GED
Skills and Abilities
- Basic math skills, including; addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals; and the ability to count, sort, and categorize inventory items.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables, in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Ability to operate telephones, computer terminal, keyboard, photocopier, and printer/scanning instrumentation.
- Ability to input large amounts of data using repetitive motion in keystrokes and data entry on a consistent daily basis.
Licenses and Certifications
- Valid state-issued driver’s license
- Candidate must pass criminal background check prior to employment start date. Required

1. Tattoos may be displayed while on duty or representing the agency unless considered controversial, disrespectful, or offensive.
2. Tattoos, scarifications, and brandings on the face, or front of the neck, are not authorized while on duty or representing the agency.
- Modest hand tattoos are allowed, at the discretion of the Sheriff or designee.
- Modest neck tattoos not extending onto the front of the neck, beyond the carotid arteries, are allowed at the discretion of the Sheriff or designee.
Piercings:
1. Modest piercing are allowed.
2. Nostril is okay; septum, bridge, nasal Lang & rhino piercings are not allowed.
3. No more than one piercing is allowed to be displayed.
- Unusually large or obtrusive piercings are not allowed.
- Ring thickness of 18 gauge (1mm) or smaller and a ring diameter of 10mm or smaller is allowed.
- A stud size of 2mm or smaller is allowed.
3. Ear piercings
- Sworn personnel, only females are allowed to wear one pair of post style earrings, one in each lobe, while on duty.
