What are the responsibilities and job description for the Elementary Education - 1st Grade position at Weld County School District Re-8?
- Minimum B. A. or B. S. in Elementary Education.
- Hold or be able to obtain Colorado Teachers' Certificate/License in Elementary Education from Colorado Department of Education.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Colorado standards and assessments and the ability to facilitate data driven instruction and the standards based classroom.
- Demonstrated ability to ensure student academic success/experience in a primary grade level classroom.
- Strong background in integrating the teaching of reading and writing and math problem solving skills.
- Computer and Technology skills preferred.
- Able to work as a team member/experience with data driven instruction preferred.
- Experience working with diverse populations.
- Coaching available.
- All contracts/agreements for employment of personnel shall be subject to the approval of the Board of Education.
- Direct deposit of payroll is a condition of employment.
- No smoking is allowed in any Weld County School District Re 8 buildings.

SALARY RANGE:Licensed Staff Salary Schedule plus School District Comprehensive Benefits Package. Salary Range of $47,500 - $102,482 this based on 24-25 salary schedule, 25-26 salary schedule will be used for final offer. We will give all years depending on experience and education with additional opportunities for tuition reimbursement. This position may qualify for up to five additional steps on the certified salary schedule. This will be based on education and experience.
