Employment Associate Attorney
Location : Los Angeles, CA (Hybrid)
Job Type : Full-time
Salary Range : $120K -$215K plus bonus
About :
Our client seeks an experienced employment attorney to join their highly talented Los Angeles office. The attorney will focus on defending clients in single plaintiff employment litigation (in court and arbitration) and investigating and responding to administrative charges.
The firm provides comprehensive solutions for the legal needs of companies throughout California.
Key Responsibilities :
Internal investigations, legal research, preparing discovery and taking / defending depositions, drafting motions and pleadings, and representing clients at court conferences, hearings, and trials.
Analyze client needs, identify solutions, and determine case strategies.
Argue motions in court on behalf of clients during legal proceedings.
Advise clients by weighing available options toward a successful outcome and plan a course of action.
Conduct research and draft pleadings, briefs, and motions.
Communicate with partners, associates, paralegals, and clients to ensure cases are handled efficiently.
Qualifications :
At least 3 years of employment litigation experience in single plaintiff employment litigation.
Candidates must be licensed to practice in California
Some counseling experience is a plus but not required.
Candidates must have exceptional personal interaction skills and an excellent academic background, proven writing, analysis, and research skills, and be self-starters and thrive in a fast-paced litigation environment.
Must be comfortable handling court appearances and have some experience participating in depositions and mediations.
Must be a team player and a self-starter with strong organizational skills.
Effective communication skills and problem-solving skills are necessary to work with all levels of staff and clients
Ability to work with partners and other attorneys to best serve client needs and grow our client base
Member in good standing
Successful completion of the bar exam
Completion of a Juris Doctor (J.D. degree) from an accredited law school
1850 billable hours
