The Assistant Dining Room Supervisor is responsible for assisting with the day-to-day operations for the independent living dining area. The responsibilities include but are not limited to, maintain a clean and sanitary dining room, provide a very high level of service to our residents, train and organize staff to ensure Well-Spring’s service standards are exceeded. Well Spring is a 365-day operation.

The Assistant Dining Room Supervisor is responsible for assisting with the day-to-day operations for the independent living dining area. The responsibilities include but are not limited to, maintain a clean and sanitary dining room, provide a very high level of service to our residents, train and organize staff to ensure Well-Spring’s service standards are exceeded. Well Spring is a 365-day operation.
Essential functions include, but not limited to:
- Utilize the P.O.S (point of service) system at the administrator level, become proficient in updating menus,
- Maintain and improve dining service standards.
- Train, evaluate and coach members of the wait staff team.
- Assist in serving meals, bussing, or bartending as necessary and on a timely basis.
- Assure that food is being served according to established portion and control procedures.
- Assist with various resident and holiday functions to include set up and organization.
- Assure that residents continuously have pleasant, comfortable, and positive dining experiences.
- Assist in managing reservations and seating charts to standard.
- Maintain close communication lines with all employees seeking input regarding food and beverage issues.
- Assist in monthly food and beverage inventories.
- Assist in managing nightly meal service and daily function of the restaurant and dining room.
- Assist Dining Room Manager in planning and organizing monthly department meetings.
- Preparing for and conducting team member performance appraisals.
- Conduct daily pre-meal meetings and attend other meetings as required.
Qualifications:
- Two years of food service supervisory experience- preferably in health care, hotel, or corporate dining
- A working knowledge of food and beverages
- Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Office products - Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint,
- Must be able to communicate ideas and instructions clearly and concisely.
- Strong customer service experience, along with the ability to train, evaluate and coach members of the wait staff team members.
- ServSafe Certification is preferred.
