Talent Acquisition Specialist - Job Description
Job Title: Talent Acquisition Specialist
Reports to: Director of HR
Status: Full-Time, Non-Exempt
Qualifications:
- Preferred Associate of Arts or BA degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field and/or;
- 2 years minimum experience in a recruitment, Talent Acquisition or similar role.
- A strong working knowledge of various progressive recruitment practices.
- Read, write, fluently speak, communicate and understand the English language. Bi-Lingual Spanish is a plus.
- Be self-driven, motivated to achieve a very high level of pro-active service excellence.
Physical requirements:
- Capable of working in an office-based environment with a desk utilizing a computer and other office tools to complete essential tasks for this role.
- Capable of answering a telephone, responding to telephone calls and using common office equipment.
- Capable of travel to, and working off-site at, various corporate or recruitment events including use of a roll-cart or other means to carry necessary supplies for career events, job fairs or other HR events.
- Capable of standing continuously for 1 hour minimum – examples: job fairs, HR events etc.
- Capable of lifting and moving items up to 15lbs without assistance and up to 50lbs with mechanical lifts or assistance.
- Capable of shadowing and closely observing all our various roles, even those which are physically demanding, to gain insight into what each role entails.
Essential Functions:
Customer Service and Conduct
- Consistently work cooperatively, utilizing patience and courtesy, with potential applicants, team members, residents and professional connections to support a positive work partnership.

Technical Skills
- Proactively identify hiring needs in partnership with hiring managers and leadership
- Design and management of job postings
- Timely proactive sourcing and identification of viable candidates using a variety of search methods including databases, social media and other recruitment tools
- Resume/application review and screenings including phone screening
- Conduct level 1 interviews and make recommendations to hiring managers regarding applicants
- Serve as an advocate and trainer as needed for consistent and complete usage of applicant tracking system by hiring managers
- Facilitation of the offer process
- Conduct background screenings, reference checks, educational or credential checks as required for each specific role
- Manage the onboarding and new hire process
- Ensure all screening, hiring and selection is done in accordance with employment laws and regulations.
- Capacity to make thoughtful and measured independent service decisions on work requests as necessary.
- Data entry and information sharing in our Human Resources communication systems and databases.
- Conduct exit interviews and informational check-in calls
- Assist with general daily HR duties as assigned to the team
- Perform other related duties as assigned by Director of HR, HR leadership, Executive Director or Leadership team.
Training/Ongoing Education
- Successfully participate in mandated educational trainings
- Assist in the orientation, education and continued training of new team members as required.
- Participate in meetings or committee or resident advisory groups as assigned and scheduled.
Safety/ Compliance
- Identify and immediately report observed safety hazards and emergency situations, initiate corrective action, and seek assistance as required by Well-Spring policy.
- Assume personal responsibility for following facility procedures related to control of equipment and supplies within the department.
- Comply with all Federal, State, and Local regulations required in our industry and within this position’s span of control.
- Other duties as assigned by our leadership team.
