The role you’ll contribute:
AdventHealth Well 65 is looking for team members with a passion to transform health care and make a difference in the lives of seniors. AdventHealth Well 65 is an innovative primary care practice delivering comprehensive, high quality, team-based care for our members and their families. Our relationship-based care model is designed to provide coordinated health care through a curated network that improves the quality and outcomes in the communities we serve. Our member-centered approach focuses on individualized care to meet the unique needs of our members and is supported by our dedicated care team of primary care physicians, health coaches, nurses and an array of specialized services. We strive for clinical excellence and aim to increase quality, increase patient satisfaction and reduce unnecessary utilization of health care resources. We are creating a new connection around how whole-person care is delivered to better meet the full spectrum of health care needs in this senior population. The Practice Manager is responsible for the overall success and day to day operations of their assigned medical practice. This position provides the strategic leadership for a practice's growth, direction, administration and coordination of all medical office activities except those directly involving professional medical judgment. The Practice Manager serves as the trainer, effective mentor and educational resource to all team members.
The value you’ll bring to the team:
- Collaborates with leadership and Physicians to develop and implement strategic growth plans including identifying, recommending, and implementing practice needs: staffing, services, equipment and facilities
- Responsible for financial management of practices including budget collaboration, implementation and management. Responsible for financial management of offices including ensuring cash control, bank reconciliations and deposits, and payment authorization vouchers
- Manages the daily operations of the practice and ensures the coordination of the work activities and team member schedules
- Leads daily Team Huddles by maintaining and compiling statistics and other records for reporting purposes
- Leads office teams with exemplary practices when hiring, training, coaching, evaluating and implementing the progressive discipline policy when necessary
- Responsible for ensuring effective communication with all team members and providers regarding policies, procedures, forms, changes, and requirements
- Ensures all team members adheres to compliance regulations, AdventHealth policies and procedures particularly in the areas of data entry, insurance, licensing, timekeeping
- Ensures that team members’ time and attendance are tracked in a timely fashion and that providers’ paid leave and continuing medical education credits are tracked according to team member licensing
- Consistently creates and upholds an engaging environment for all team members by appreciating, caring for and encouraging/developing them. Also, utilize employee engagement survey data, creating action plans and making progress on the action plans
- Responsible for leading the team to provide excellent patient experience; develop and implement initiatives to continuously enhance the patient experience
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed :
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree and 1 year healthcare experience or AHS Residency program or
- Associate degree and 2 years healthcare experience or
- High School degree and 4 years healthcare experience
- Experience in finance and accounting skills with regards to the oversight of a departmental budget
- Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's in Health, Business Administration or related field
- Certified Medical Office Manager
- Licensed Practical Nurse - State Licensure
- Certified by the American College of Medical Practice Executives (ACMPE)
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)-AAMA by one of the following:
- American Association of Medical Assistants (“AAMA”) for Certified Medical Assistants
- American Medical Certification Association (“AMCA”) for Clinical Medical Assistant Certification
- American Medical Technologists (“AMT”) for Registered Medical Assistant
- National Association for Health Professionals (“NAHP”) for Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant
- National Center for Competency Testing (“NCCT”) for National Certified Medical Assistant
- National Certification Medical Association (“NCMA”) for Registered Clinical Medical Assistant Specialist
