Primary Responsibilities Include:
- Supplier Identification & Evaluation – Research and assess suppliers based on capabilities, performance, cost, and compliance.
- Negotiation & Contract Management – Secure cost-effective contracts that align with company policies and industry regulations.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration – Act as liaison between stakeholders and suppliers to align strategies, ensure material compliance, and resolve issues.
- Risk Management & Compliance – Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, including geopolitical and environmental factors.
- Cost Optimization & Value Creation – Analyze spend data to uncover savings and implement sourcing strategies that improve efficiency.
- Performance Monitoring & Improvement – Use reports, analytics, and dashboards to track supplier performance and drive corrective actions.
- Market & Industry Analysis – Monitor trends, disruptions, and benchmarks to inform sourcing decisions and support leadership insight
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Logistics, or a related field.
- 5–7 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management that includes at least 3 years of:
- global or multi-regional sourcing experience and
- experience in strategic sourcing or procurement, within the oil & gas, manufacturing, industrial equipment, or energy sectors.
- Demonstrated career progression within supply chain, procurement, or sourcing roles, with increasing levels of responsibility and leadership.
Preferred Skills or Qualifications
- Masters’ degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Logistics, or a related field.
- Industry-specific certifications such as (preferred)
- Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM)
- Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP)
- Six Sigma Green
- Familiarity with API standards, ISO certifications, and regulatory requirements in oil & gas manufacturing.
- Proven experience negotiating contracts with global suppliers and understanding of tariffs, trade compliance, and logistics.
- Hands-on experience with ERP and procurement systems (SAP, Ariba, Oracle, Coupa, or similar).
- Experience in managing commodity price fluctuations, vendor reliability, and risk mitigation in a volatile market.
- Awareness of environmental and safety regulations impacting supplier selection within the oil & gas industry.
