Summary of Duties
Each employee is expected to meet WellFully’s Code of Conduct, Professionalism and Ethics. The Clinical Coordinator is responsible for approving changes to the unit. Ensuring paperwork is completed in a timely accurate manner according to the requirements of the funding agency and other regulating authorities. Collaborating with unit staff to ensure client needs are met. Mentor other Counselors as needed. The Clinical Coordinator is responsible for assessing youth as assigned and responsible for the implementation of a therapeutic environment, individual and family treatment, as well as a variety of therapeutic and case management services to youth and their families.
Responsibilities
· To ensure all client files and documentation including EMR files, ESIs, IRs, abuse and neglect reporting and other required reporting is completed and maintained in an appropriate and accountable manner according to established standards. Regular audits should be completed, and findings reviewed by Clinical Supervisor.
· To ensure consistency of quality, accountability and high standards in all programs and services - both client support and education. This includes providing training for counselors, and Youth Development Specialist and developing procedures, models, and comprehensive frameworks of delivery for all other staff to ensure unified execution of a clear philosophy of care.
· Collaborate with Unit Director and Nurse Coordinator to establish programming for units.
· Collaborate with Unit Director and Nurse Coordinator to address any concerns related to the living environment, operations, programs, safety, and other items as needed.
· Collaborate with Unit Director to create cohesive environment between counseling staff and unit staff.
· To maintain accurate and complete statistical records for all programs and services on the agency database, providing referring agents with comprehensive details on programs offered.
· This position is also responsible for facilitating groups as needed in the group care and addiction treatment programs as well as counseling youth as needed in the program.
· The Clinical Coordinator is responsible for outside clinical programing including assessments and follow up consults in our service area. Ensure assessments are completed within two business days.
· To ensure consistent and meaningful evaluation of all programs and services is carried out in order to assess their impact and success and to make needed changes and improvements as indicated.
· Successful administration of programs will be reflected in satisfactory state audits.
· Focus on occupancy and admission efforts of programs.
· To be responsible for hiring, orientation and ongoing supervision of all counseling staff: Counselors, Lead Counselors, & Compliance Specialist.
· To conduct regular performance appraisals with direct reports providing constructive feedback and direction as to improvement. This includes auditing their record-keeping and supervising their clinical responsibilities.
· Weekly summaries of meetings and counselor activity will be provided to CEO.
· Verified by monthly calendar of shifts provided to CEO. This calendar will be reflexive to occupancy, minimize overtime and cost, and maintain state and accreditation guidelines. Maintain and share calendar and occupancy numbers to share with grit team.
· Review general costs and needs with management team.
· To provide clear direction of the philosophy of care to all staff, encouraging a team approach, professional attitude and good communication, always modeling best practices in this regard.
· Attend and participate in management meetings.
· To advise the Programs Committee about programs and policies appropriate to the mandate of the agency. Monthly policy reviews will be provided to the CEO and programs committee.
· To participate actively as an agency representative in collaborative partner networks and in related community activities.
Qualifications
· Master’s degree in Human Services or a related field or equivalent.
· Prior experience preferred with special needs population, especially chemically dependent and/or emotionally, behaviorally disturbed population.
· Possess communication, planning, and time management skills.
· Ability to multitask and prioritize daily workload
· Exercise discretion and confidentiality.
· Complete Safe Crisis Management training as required by state agency.
· Complete annual training as required and provided.
· Maintain active CPR Certification.
· Complete two step TB Test as required by state agency.
· Current driver's license and proof of insurance.
· Cleared through the Central Registry for Abuse and Neglect and the Division of Criminal Investigation.
· Must be 21 or older.
Physical Requirements:
· Ability to perform crisis intervention techniques to control a physically acting out adolescent.
· Must be able to lift 20 lbs.
This position reports to the CEO.
Note: Applicants who have been charged with a DUI within the past 5 years or have ever been charged with a violent crime are ineligible for employment with WellFully.
