Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. Immediate Opportunities:
Saturday and Sunday 8 am - 12 pm and 5 pm- 9 pm (Lexington) - ACTIVE CNA REQUIRED (Weekend Shift Differential)
Monday - Thursday 7 am - 11 am (Lexington)
Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 1 pm-5 pm (Irmo)
Monday and Thursday 10 am - 2 pm (Garner's Ferry/VA area)
Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 9:45 am-4 pm (Chapin)
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
- Monitor and record vital signs as needed, ensuring any changes are reported to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Support clients in adhering to their care plans, which may include medication administration and assistance with mobility.
- Uphold resident rights by treating clients with dignity and respect while maintaining confidentiality.
- Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental and emotional well-being.
- Assist with light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment for clients.
- Respond promptly to client needs and requests, demonstrating excellent caregiving skills.
- Administer first aid when necessary and ensure safety protocols are followed at all times.
Requirements
- Previous experience in caregiving or home health care is preferred.
- Knowledge of senior care practices, including an understanding of care plans and medication administration.
- Ability to lift clients safely and assist them with mobility as required.
- Familiarity with monitoring vital signs is a plus.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Certification in First Aid or CPR is desirable.
- A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others is essential.
