What are the responsibilities and job description for the Seasonal Retail/Rental Shop Park Ranger 2025 position at Wellington Lake?
Wellington Lake is a privately owned recreation area and campground near Bailey, CO- (a little over an hour from Denver) where guests enjoy fishing, swimming, canoeing, hiking, mountain biking, and camping.
Our goals at Wellington Lake are to: provide visitors with an enjoyable and safe outdoor experience and to protect and conserve this stunning location for the future. We strive to achieve these goals by creating a positive, welcoming, collaborative, and encouraging work environment!
We are looking to hire friendly full time or part time Seasonal Park Rangers to provide visitor services and patrol the campground, day use areas and trails. It is the Rangers' duty to protect the park resources while educating and assisting the public. This is a great opportunity to gain skills and experience working in a high-use recreational area!
Examples of Retail Park Ranger responsibilities:
-Operate a cash register and account for daily sales
-Open and close the visitor center
-Check guests in for camping and day use
-Provide information and education to guests
-Maintain all rental equipment and assist guests with rentals.
-Assist with special events
-Patrol the campground, day use areas, trails and property perimeter
-Enforce rules and regulations
-Resolve guest complaints in a courteous and helpful manner
-Split and stack firewood
-Maintain campground by removing trash from sites and ash from fire rings
-Other duties as assigned
-Respond to emergencies
*Hiring is contingent on successful completion of a background check and drug screening.
Pay: $15 depending on experience
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Seasonal
Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
