Job Summary
The ideal candidate will act as an employee champion and a leader of productivity & change. The HR Director will manage all day-to-day HR operations while providing strategic direction on HR practices that align with the organization’s business objectives, values, and culture. General responsibilities include, but are not limited to, compliance, talent acquisition & onboarding, employee relations, performance management, training and development, payroll, compensation, benefit administration, and employee relations including performance improvement administration. The position is based in Dallas, TX and is full time on site.
Qualifications
- At least 8 years of progressive Human Resources experience in Real Estate or a related industry; or a 4-year college degree and at least 5 years of related experience; or a 2-year college degree and 7 or more years of related experience.
- College course work in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field highly preferred.
- Familiarity with and knowledge of employment laws.
- Excellent in tactfully asking difficult questions
- Superb in interviewing and evaluating people.
- Willingness to work longer hours as needed.
- Must be proficient in Windows Operating Systems & Microsoft Office Suite
- Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately.
- Must routinely meet deadlines, prioritize & multi-task.
- Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary.
- Must have the ability to assimilate complex information data etc. from disparate sources and consider adjust or modify to meet the constraints of the particular need.
- Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying concerns raised by employees and clients.

- Ensure successful recruitment and retention of top talent throughout all departments.

- Develop, refine & enforce company standards.
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming which include compliance and holding others to the company standards.
- Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times.
- Maintain thorough and current knowledge of all Human Resource regulations and laws while ensuring both the corporate office and managed properties remain compliant.
- Participate in EEO Unemployment Wage & Hour Worker’s Compensation OSHA ADA Immigration and Naturalization Service hearings. Implement policies and programs to guarantee compliance.
- Communicate new policies, information and procedures effectively to all employee’s.
- Instruct staff in interpretation of HR policies and procedures.
- Implement and manage all wage and salary programs including performance evaluations.
- Recommend and/or approve all employee transitions, i.e. new hire, transfer, promotion, etc.
- Ensure a positive team-oriented environment which focuses on the guidance and encouragement of employee development and advancement.
- Maintain open door policy.
- Monitor and analyze turnover statistics
- Update and submit required reports in a timely manner
- Ensure compliance with all HR related Loss Prevention SOP’s.
- Participate in and monitor effectiveness of committees.
- Exercise appropriate coaching and counseling when addressing all issues/concerns while ensuring managers meet the same standards.
- Condense and expedite paperwork to develop internal communications and improve record keeping.
- Plan and edit employee newsletter.
- Attend meetings/training as required by management.
- Perform other duties as requested by management.
- Successfully manage the entire recruitment cycle including job postings, screening, interviewing, and onboarding.
- Establish and maintain all compensation, benefits, performance, and incentive programs.
- Monitor Service Standards by Position training program.
- Develop and maintain suggestion box program.
- Manage all personnel files.
