Job Requirements:
Assumes responsibility and accountability for duties required to schedule patients for outpatient procedures and surgical cases/services, communicates any preparation needed to the patient. Communicates appropriate information to the various departments involved. Prints schedules for departments, as needed. Gathers and reports statistical data as requested. Supports an organizational culture of Service Excellence Standards to all customer groups. Public relations and customer service is highly emphasized with the Central Resource Scheduling role.

Qualifications
Typing skills a minimum of 35 wpm.
Experience in a customer service role, preferably medical related.
Demonstrates high level of organizational skills and independent functioning.
Computer literate, ability to function in Windows based applications utilizes a mouse.
Experience with high volume, incoming telephone calls.
Medical terminology.
Excellent verbal communication skills.
Knowledge of medical procedure, average times, and preparation.
Knowledge of CPT/Diagnosis codes.
