Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, proofread, and edit legal documents, contracts, and correspondence.
- File legal documents with courts, agencies, or other relevant parties in compliance with deadlines.
- Maintain and organize case files, ensuring all records are accurate and up to date.
- Conduct legal research and compile data to assist attorneys with case preparation.
- Schedule and coordinate meetings, appointments, and court appearances.
- Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, and court staff.
- Monitor and track deadlines, ensuring timely submission of all required documents.
- Handle administrative tasks such as answering phones, managing calendars, and processing invoices.
- Assist with trial preparation, including organizing exhibits, witness lists, and court materials.
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards in handling sensitive information.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Legal Studies, Paralegal Studies, or a related field (preferred).
- 2 years of experience in a legal assistant or similar role.
- Proficiency in legal software (e.g., Clio, MyCase, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong understanding of legal terminology, procedures, and documentation.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
