- Transcribe legal documents and correspondence accurately, ensuring all information is captured correctly.
- Proofread legal documents for accuracy, grammar, and compliance with court requirements.
- Manage project timelines and assist in coordinating case-related activities to ensure deadlines are met.
- Utilize iManage software for document management, organization, and retrieval of case files.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information while managing client interactions and documentation.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Legal Assistant or in a similar administrative role within a legal environment.
- Strong knowledge of family law and securities law is preferred but not required.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Proficient in administrative tasks including document preparation, filing, and record keeping.
- Familiarity with iManage or similar document management systems is a plus.
- Exceptional research skills with attention to detail in proofreading and editing documents.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and colleagues.
