Duties
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
- Obtain and record vital signs, medical histories, and other relevant patient information.
- Prepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures and ensuring comfort.
- Perform basic laboratory tests and assist with X-Ray procedures as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and medical equipment.
- Administer medications as directed by physicians or nursing staff.
- Coordinate patient appointments, follow-ups, and referrals to specialists.
- Educate patients on health maintenance and disease prevention strategies.
- Document all patient interactions accurately in electronic health records (EHR).
Experience
The ideal candidate should possess:
- Experience in a clinical setting, preferably in urgent care or hospital medicine.
- Knowledge of anatomy and physiology to assist with patient assessments effectively.
- Familiarity with pediatric intensive care unit (PICU) protocols is a plus.
- Ability to work in both inpatient and outpatient environments, adapting to various clinical needs.
- Proficiency in taking vital signs and understanding their significance in patient care.
- Experience with X-Ray procedures is advantageous but not mandatory.
