We are looking for full time and part time medical and behavioral health professionals, including social workers, community health workers (CHWs), and case managers for two new programs : Health Yeah! an equity-centered mobile health program that travels to Albuquerque public schools and an inclusive substance use treatment program inside and outside of the Metropolitan Detention Center.

Purpose of the position

WEA is actively seeking compassionate and driven professionals for several pivotal roles in our innovative Mobile School Health Center program in Bernalillo County. This initiative is designed to deliver comprehensive healthcare services directly to middle and elementary schools, ensuring every student can access high-quality care, regardless of their circumstances.

The Mobile School Health Center represents a transformative approach to healthcare, bringing primary care, behavioral health support, preventive services, and more directly to students within their school environments. Our dedicated mobile healthcare teams are committed to meeting students where they are addressing their physical and mental health needs right on school grounds.

We seek dedicated and compassionate Licensed Behavioral Health Professionals to provide high-quality mental health services to students in a mobile clinic setting. New Mexico independently licensed (LCSW, LPCC, LMFT) and New Mexico non-independent licensed (LMHC, LMSW) professionals are encouraged to apply.

Scope of Work :

The Clinical Supervisor will supervise non-independently licensed practitioners, Certified Peer Support Workers (PSWs), and Community Health Workers (CHWs) within WEA’s operational teams, including Mobile School Health Centers and the Jail Reentry Program. The Clinical Supervisor will ensure that all supervisees meet New Mexico Counseling and Social Work statutes and standards while supporting the professional development of team members.

Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Individual Clinical Supervision :

Provide 1 hour of individual clinical supervision bi-weekly to non-independently licensed practitioners, including Licensed Mental Health Counselors (LMHCs), Licensed Master Social Workers (LMSWs), and other behavioral health staff.

  • Group Supervision :
  • Facilitate 1 hour of group supervision bi-weekly for the Bernalillo County teams, including Mobile School Health Centers and the Jail Reentry Program.

  • Compliance with New Mexico Statutes :
  • Ensure all supervision practices comply with New Mexico state statutes and regulations for clinical supervision, including standards outlined by the New Mexico Counseling and Therapy Practice Board and the New Mexico Board of Social Work Examiners.

  • Support for PSWs and CHWs :
  • Guide Certified Peer Support Workers and Community Health Workers by providing direction, support, and mentorship to enhance their roles within the behavioral health team.

  • Documentation :
  • Maintain accurate records of supervision sessions, including topics discussed, clinical guidance provided, and any follow-up actions. Ensure all documentation meets legal and ethical standards as required by New Mexico regulations.

  • Evaluation and Feedback :
  • Conduct ongoing evaluations of supervisees’ clinical skills and provide constructive feedback to support their professional growth and adherence to best practices.

  • Approval for Additional Supervision Hours :
  • The behavioral health director must review and approve any need for additional supervision hours.

    Crisis Consultation :

    Be available for consultation during clinical emergencies or crises that require immediate supervisory input.
