Job Summary
We are seeking an Occupational Health Nurse Practitioner (OHNP) to provide high-quality care for employees across various industries in our region. As an OHNP, you will play a key role in delivering occupational health services, including injury and illness management, wellness programs, pre-employment health screenings, and ongoing healthcare support. You will work with employees at multiple client sites, ensuring a safe and healthy work environment while helping to prevent and manage workplace-related health concerns. This role requires a flexible, compassionate individual who can provide both urgent care and preventative health services in diverse work environments.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive physical examinations to assess employee health status.
- Implement and monitor occupational health programs to prevent workplace injuries and illnesses.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop discharge planning for employees returning to work after medical leave.
- Utilize aseptic techniques during procedures to ensure patient safety.
- Maintain accurate medical records using an electronic health record systems.
- Provide education on health promotion, injury prevention, and wellness initiatives to employees.
- Assist in the development of policies related to occupational health and safety standards.
Experience
- Current nursing license with experience in an occupational health setting preferred.
- Familiarity with laboratory procedures and protocols is advantageous.
- DOT medical provider certification preferred
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team are essential.
- Proficient in using electronic health record systems for documentation and reporting purposes.
