The Field Learning and Development Specialist develops, designs, and delivers targeted training programs tailored for specific positions. This role ensures team members have the tools and knowledge necessary to meet performance expectations and provide safe, effective patient care. The Field Learning and Development Specialist collaborates closely with field leaders to create and refine training materials, instructional content, and manuals, while promoting key business initiatives through engaging and effective learning experiences.

Essential job functions:

  • Develop and/or improve content using a variety of modalities, including video, simulation, in-person learning, live virtual learning, and web-based. Uses tools such as Articulate Storyline/Rise, Camtasia, and Microsoft Office/PowerPoint.
  • Design and deliver training for all clinical team members, ensuring content is role-specific and aligned with organizational goals.
  • Assist with project management tasks, including building plans and updating detailed project sheets
  • Assess and recommend new trainings, development tools, and applications
  • Support team toward achieving department goals and priorities
  • Evaluate learner performance by monitoring behaviors and identifying issues such as poor attitude, skill gaps, attendance challenges, or training difficulties, and communicate findings to clinical field trainers, Multi-Site Managers, and Human Resources.
  • Facilitate specialized training programs, such as CPR, BAT, Urine Collector, DOT guidelines, IM, Spirometry, vaccine updates, OSHA compliance, QA protocols, and other management-requested topics
  • Maintain the accuracy and consistency of training materials by seeking prior approval for changes or new content from the Director of Education and Training.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience in instructional design, learning and development (L&D), and training facilitation.
  • 1 to 3 years of clinical healthcare experience.

MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse groups.
  • Basic knowledge of adult learning theory and principles.
  • Proficiency in creating, composing, and editing instructional materials.
  • Proficiency, or proven ability to learn technologies such as Articulate Storyline or Rise, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Captivate and Premiere, Vyond, Camtasia, Kahoot, Miro, Smartsheet
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite – i.e., multiple Outlook accounts, Word, Excel, OneNote, PowerPoint, etc. and SharePoint
  • Skilled in organizing, prioritizing, and managing multiple tasks effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver engaging, impactful educational content.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized, ensuring accuracy in content and logistics.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
  • Local travel required.


Salary Range: $64,600 ~ $76,000
